My Story

My ceramics are deeply inspired by the whenua, whakapapa, and lived experiences that have shaped my journey. Each piece reflects a connection to place, people, and the stories that continue to guide me.

Working with clay allows me to express creativity in a way that feels authentic and meaningful. Whether creating functional pottery or sculptural pieces, my hope is that every work brings beauty, connection, and a sense of belonging into the homes of those who welcome it.

One of the greatest blessings in my life has been raising my two sons as a single mother. Throughout my creative journey, they have been my greatest supporters, encouraging me to keep creating and believing in myself. Their love, patience, and unwavering support have been a constant source of strength, and I am incredibly grateful to have shared this journey with them.

What keeps drawing me back to clay is its ability to tell stories. Each piece begins as earth in my hands and slowly becomes something that carries meaning, memory, and connection. No two pieces are ever exactly the same, and that is part of their beauty.

Whakapapa reminds me where I come from and the people and places that have shaped who I am. It connects me to my whenua, my tīpuna, and the lived experiences that continue to inspire my creativity.

When someone takes one of my ceramics home, I hope they feel more than the craftsmanship. I hope they feel warmth, connection, and a sense of belonging. My wish is that each piece finds a special place in their home and becomes part of their own story.
